The Consulate of the Republic of Chad in Nairobi announces that its offices will be closed on Tuesday, 11 August 2026, in observance of the 66th Anniversary of Chadian Independence.
The Republic of Chad celebrates its independence from France on 11 August each year. This is a national public holiday in Chad observed by all Chadian diplomatic missions worldwide.
Normal consular operations will resume on Wednesday, 12 August 2026. Applicants with appointments scheduled for 11 August will be contacted individually to reschedule.
