The Republic of Chad and the Republic of Kenya maintain warm and constructive bilateral relations built on mutual respect and shared continental values. Both nations are active members of the African Union and are committed to the goals of Agenda 2063 — Africa's blueprint for inclusive growth and sustainable development.

Formal diplomatic relations between the two countries have been in place since the post-independence era. The establishment of the Consulate of Chad in Nairobi reflects the growing importance of the Kenya–Chad relationship and the increasing size of the Chadian community in East Africa.

Diplomatic History
