Chadian nationals born, married, or deceased outside Chad can register these life events with the Consulate for recording in the Chadian civil registry. The Consulate can also issue certified extracts of civil status records for Chadians registered in the consular district.

📋 Required Documents & Requirements

  • Completed civil status registration form (birth / marriage / death)
  • Supporting documents (hospital birth record, marriage certificate, death certificate, etc.)
  • Valid Chadian passport or national ID of the applicant
  • Passports of both parents (for birth registration)
  • Two witnesses with valid ID (for marriage registration)
  • Application fee (cash)

Civil status registrations require an appointment.

Prepare Documents

Gather all original documents and translations if required.

Submit at Consulate

Meet with a consular officer to submit your declaration.

Verification

Documents are verified and forwarded to the civil registry in Chad.

Certificate Issued

Receive your civil status certificate or extract.
